always aworkin

Here is a preview of a work in progress, made for a special little lady in my life.

What do you call a work made specifically for someone, a present or a portrait?

I am branching away from what I am used to for a few different design projects, practical needs, and even paid jobs:
Cards that I made:and these banners were the extent of the decorating I was able to get done in time for the party:

I also just starting painting miniatures for a company called Wee Forest Folk, who hire local artists. I am loving it!! This week I took home an egg carton full of mice to practice painting. It takes a lot of time, patience, and strain on the eyes to paint so small... and keep my shaky hands still. But it's painfully cute to watch the little things come to life and look up at me as I give them eyes and little pink noses! aaaaawwwww!
Alongside these ventures, I am also working on some merchandising projects and signage for The Grapevine, a beer and wine store in Harvard, Mass., that David works for.

Home sweet home:
Seats for two. :)
